Cal Expo annually joins the City and County of Sacramento to produce the largest-scale pyrotechnics display in the area’s history. The Independence Day Celebration is a family oriented collection of activities focused around our Nation’s birthday.
Location: Cal Expo, Miller Lite Grandstand
Entrance Gate: East Gate
Event Hours: Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
Live Music: The celebration begins with music provided by 107.9 The End, followed by a spectacular live performance by the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West beginning at 7:30 p.m. Poppy, the State Fair Mascot, is always on hand to entertain the crowd.
Fireworks: begin at 9:30 p.m.
General admission: FREE
A limited number of $10 reserved seats are sold online on Tickets.com. The day of the event, tickets may be purchased at the East Gate Box Office located adjacent to Parking Lot D, beginning at 3 p.m.
