Cal Expo Governing Board
The governing body of the California Exposition & State Fair is an 11-member board of directors. The directors are residents of California. Nine (9) directors are appointed by the Governor with the consent of the Senate. One director each is appointed by the Speaker of the Assembly and the Senate Committee on Rules. Ex-officio members are Assembly member Dave Jones and Senator Deborah Ortiz. A more detailed explanation can be found in the Governance Section of this web page.
